Pictured above is a dowel post and rail fence. This fence was installed recently in Middletown, NJ, and is a modern interpretation of the classic split rail, post, and rail fence. As you can see, a welded wire has been stapled to the fence and offers an additional level of security to keep children and pets in the yard.
